Multimedia project To tell Space as an emotional, poetic and collective experience
Next Space – Infinity is a multifaceted project produced by Felinova Productions and Itaka Studio by Henoel Grech, comprising a music album, a docufilm and a series of audiovisual contents connected to the musical compositions. The aim of the project is to express the wonder of the universe, evoking the mystery of creation and the human desire to understand infinity. Through music and images, the project accompanies and celebrates the upcoming space missions, offering the poetic gaze of a child who looks at the sky and wonders about the possibilities of the universe. In this sense, Next Space – Infinity is not only a musical or audiovisual work, but an emotional journey that transports the listener and the viewer between reality and imagination, between science and the wonder of the human heart.
Seven missions to explore the infinity of Space, the composition of matter, the search for traces of life beyond our biosphere, the exploration of the Moon, the satellite that breathes together with the tides and lives through countless cultural expressions on Earth. An unprecedented audiovisual project, enriched by the participation of other musicians and singers from all over the world, created to give life to a truly unique collective work of art.
Vision It was born as a tale of infinity
Next Space Infinity is a concept album conceived as an autonomous work and designed to enter into a profound dialogue with the film The Dream of a Child. It is not simply a soundtrack, but a musical project with a strong artistic identity of its own, capable of existing both together with the images and independently from them.
In summary, Next Space Infinity is a work that brings together cinema, music and vision: a story about infinity seen through the eyes of a child and translated into sound. A project that looks far ahead, yet is born from an intimate and authentic need: to transform Space into emotion, and emotion into music.
Next Space – Infinity: The Dream of a Child was born from the desire to tell the story of Space as an emotional experience, during which the director himself appears before the camera as both a witness and as the child who once dreamed of flying among the stars. Through this gaze, the docufilm explores the spiritual and metaphysical vertigo of exploration and the infinite mystery of the cosmos, also reflecting on how cinema and images have shaped the iconography of space over the course of an entire century.
Visual Experience Visual and audiovisual content
Alongside the documentary film, a series of visual videos inspired by Henoel Grech’s musical compositions will be created. These will be true art videos and music videos directed by Corrado Monina, conceived as autonomous excerpts and additional contents that will accompany the album and the film’s soundtrack.
Next Space Infinity has an ambition that goes beyond the record format: it is also conceived as a live experience, an immersive presentation in which the music is performed together with images from the film, creating a single audiovisual narrative flow. It is a project designed to be presented in prestigious venues and selected cultural and artistic contexts, where the audience can experience listening as a journey rather than as a simple concert.
Physical printing will also play a fundamental role in the album’s distribution, with the production of limited-edition vinyl records and special packaging containing unique gadgets and graphic works related to the theme.
Scientific Inspiration The project draws inspiration from the great missions
The project draws inspiration from the major missions and infrastructures that represent the new frontiers of space exploration. These references are treated not as isolated technical content, but as narrative symbols of a human quest for knowledge.
Lunar Gateway The Lunar Gateway will be the cislunar space station positioned approximately 380,000 kilometres from Earth, planned by NASA, RKA, ESA and JAXA to be built starting in 2025. The Lunar Gateway is one of the next steps toward the return of human beings to the Moon and, for the first time, toward other planets in the Solar System.
International Space Station ISS The joint project developed by five different space agencies.
Space Rider An automated mini-space shuttle project currently under development at the European Space Agency, mainly funded by Italy, designed to test new technologies in flight.
Orion The crewed spacecraft, currently under development by NASA in collaboration with ESA, will carry the next human beings to the Moon and will be used in future long-duration missions.
ExoMars A mission designed for the exploration of the planet Mars through robotic probes developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Russian Space Agency (RKA). From a scientific point of view, it represents a highly ambitious challenge: to find evidence of the existence of forms of life.
Mars Sample Return Part of ESA’s long-term programme for the exploration of the Solar System in collaboration with NASA, it will make it possible to bring the first samples of Martian material back to Earth for analysis.
Euclid An ESA space mission for astronomy and astrophysics, aimed at investigating the nature of dark matter and dark energy. Both remain mysterious and unknown in nature, yet they control the past, present and future evolution of the Universe.
Distribution & Development Strategy Next Space Infinity is designed for a multi-level diffusion path
The project was conceived as an auteur docufilm with a strong cinematic vocation, designed to be presented within the main international festivals, with particular attention to contexts sensitive to the dialogue between cinema and science. The ideal first destination is represented by leading festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Turin.
Preliminary contacts have already been initiated with Sky for a subsequent broadcast, capable of significantly expanding the reach of the work to a wider audience, also through collaboration with the renowned journalist and science communicator Emilio Cozzi, a reference figure in the contemporary narration of space.
The promotional strategy also includes the creation of dedicated editorial and audiovisual contents, such as backstage material, in-depth features and dialogues with the scientific protagonists, in order to strengthen its media impact. The goal is to position the docufilm within an international distribution path, engaging both industry professionals and experts in the field, as well as a broader audience.
